KUSHI BEAUCHAMP
Kushi Beauchamp, a local Fairfaxian, will be a junior at Drake High School next semester. She was in the 2001 production of the Fairfax Town Players’ Midsummer Night’s Dream (and is simply tickled to be back with the players again!) Kushi has been in theatre her whole life, with leading roles in How to Succeed in Business, Crazy for You, Oh Sister Where Art Thou, Annie, as well as landing important parts in The Wiz, Footloose, Romeo & Winifred—to name but a few. Her most recent stint was in David Smith’s original play, Names and Faces, performed at Drake High School in the spring of 2009. For the past two years Kushi was enrolled in Drake’s freshman-sophomore blended [community] ‘Rock’ Program, where the curriculum focuses primarily on theatre and visual arts. She thanks her Rock teachers for encouraging her crazy positive energy—a necessity for her role as Z in RELATIVITY-The Musical. Always busy, Kushi also spends her summer vacation tending to sick elephant seals and mischievous toddlers. She enjoys playing the ukulele and ‘doing art’ in her backyard.
